The Showcase Must Go On

Banshee in the Kitchen think of me as

a sort of Celtic Horned Man deity

The Folk Alliance is an international organization of folk music and dance professionals. Each February, they hold a conference somewhere in North America. In 2004 it was in San Diego. I boarded the touring mobile of Celtic trio Banshee in the Kitchen and headed south with them to the circus. Simply everybody is there and simply everybody is showcasing somewhere.

Earlier in the month, Jill Egland, accordionist, flautist and vocalist with the Banshees, and I had performed for the Bakersfield V-Day event. For the hell of it, we reprised some of those tunes for Folk Alliance.

Sue Duffy, our agent, had set it all up for us and for her other clients showcasing, Richard Greene and the Brothers Barton. Praise Be to Sue!
