Ghosts and Sisters:
a Companion to the Sequoia Groves of the Southern Sierra

Sequoia trees have very little to do with my music except that, given the wholeness of human beings, my admiration of these magnificent trees will have some effect on my attitude to music and poetry.

I am currently preparing a guidebook to our southernmost sequoias to be entitled "Ghosts and Sisters: a Companion to etc." I used to live among these little known stands of ancient giants, many of which have names like Sierra Ghost or the Three Sisters. The book will give descriptions and directions to trees from just north of Springville south to Pine Flat, California.
